Why It Matters //
Last Sunday we heard a teaching on Kingdom prayer. Kingdom prayer focuses on bringing Heavenly strategies into our situation, it’s about asking the Lord how he wants us to pray and declaring scripture, which is a powerful heavenly weapon that we have access to all the time. As you meditate on this scripture, also do this prayer activation:
Choose 3 things that you feel like you need to focus on for prayer.
Pray using Kingdom principles (not what you think, but listen to what Jesus is revealing to you).
Pray out loud, don’t be shy about speaking out loud what you hear, think and feel.
Take notes and record what you pray.
What It's Talking About //
The apostle Paul wrote the second series of letters to the church in Corinth to further instruct them in the faith, calling them to stand firm and be obedient in their walks with Christ. In this particular letter, he offers encouragement to the church, reminding them of an eternal, kingdom perspective that keeps our eyes fixed on Christ instead of our circumstances.
2 Corinthians 10:3-5 NIV
3 For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does.
4 The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
5 We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
